Watch Warranty
Duration
All of our pre-owned watches come with a commercial warranty of 12 to 24 months against manufacturing defects and functional malfunctions. The applicable warranty period is specified on each product listing.
Some pre-owned watches are sold with a manufacturer's warranty still in effect. In such cases, the manufacturer's warranty takes precedence, and our commercial warranty does not replace it. The duration and terms of the manufacturer's warranty are detailed on the relevant product listing.
The warranty takes effect from the date of delivery, as evidenced by the purchase invoice.
What the Warranty Covers
- Movement defects (mechanical or quartz)
- Mechanism malfunctions not resulting from abnormal use
- Hidden defects not disclosed at the time of sale
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- Normal wear and tear (scratches, oxidation, strap ageing)
- Damage caused by impact, dropping, or misuse
- Exposure to water beyond the stated water resistance rating, as well as exposure to heat or magnetic fields
- Battery replacement
- Addition or removal of links
- Any work carried out by a third party other than The Swiss Collector

How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you experience an issue covered by the warranty :
- Contact us at contact@theswisscollector.com, describing the defect observed and including photographs where possible.
- Return the watch within 10 days of your declaration, along with all accessories and the original invoice, or drop it off at one of our branches in Switzerland.
- Following inspection, we will arrange for the necessary repair.
If the defect is confirmed and was present at the time of delivery, reasonable return shipping costs will be covered upon submission of supporting documentation.
Jewellery Warranty
Coverage
Our jewellery comes with a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects on structural elements only, including :
- A defective clasp that breaks
- A link that breaks due to a manufacturing fault
- A setting defect (a stone poorly set during manufacturing, not caused by impact or handling)
- Non-conformity of the gold hallmark relative to the product description (e.g., stated 18-carat gold not matching the hallmark)
Exclusions
The jewellery warranty does not cover :
- Damage caused by the customer (impact, scratching, deformation, improper care)
- Normal material wear (gold plating, rhodium plating, patina)
- Stones that become loose following an impact or improper handling
- Aesthetic repairs
Duration
The jewellery warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of delivery.

Returns
As a gesture of goodwill and customer satisfaction, we accept returns within 10 calendar days of receiving your order. This is a voluntary commercial policy and does not constitute a legal obligation on our part.
Return Conditions
The product must be returned :
- In its original condition, unworn and unaltered
- With all accessories, documents, original packaging, and purchase invoice
- Carefully packaged and insured for its full value
Return shipping and insurance costs are the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked delivery service. We accept no liability for items lost or damaged in transit.
Compensation
In the event of an accepted return, you may choose between a store credit or a full refund. Refunds will be processed within 10 days of receipt of the returned item, via the same payment method used at the time of purchase.
Exclusions
Returns will not be accepted if the product has been worn, altered, or damaged, or if any original accessories or documents are missing or deteriorated.
