The watch is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture caliber K825, a mechanical self-winding bumper-type movement. Introduced in the late 1950s, it was the first automatic Memovox caliber to incorporate a date function. Made up of around 241 components, it beats at a frequency of 18,000 vph and offers a power reserve of around 45 hours. Its alarm mechanism is based on a hammer striking directly against the inner caseback.

The stainless steel case has a diameter of 40 mm. It retains the sober, elegant lines of the collection, with two "JL" crowns for separate time and alarm setting. Its screw-down caseback plays an acoustic role in the diffusion of the alarm.

The smooth black dial, rare on this reference, stands out for its discreet elegance. It features applied hour-markers and luminescent dauphine hands, with a date window at 3 o'clock. The central rotating disc allows the alarm to be set, the emblematic signature of the Memovox collection.

Produced in the 1960s, this Memovox E 855 embodies a sought-after collector's piece, combining mechanical innovation, balanced design and assertive vintage character.
