A date window at 3 o'clock and a day/night window at 9 o'clock. In the center of the dial, a red arrow indicates the second time zone on a black disc.
Steel case 43 mm in diameter. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal and visible caseback reveal the movement and oscillating weight featuring the Montblanc logo. Single-push button for chronograph at 8 o'clock.

Dedicated to the inventor of the first chronograph: the "Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronograph" model is equipped with a movement from the Montblanc manufacture.
To celebrate the launch of the first caliber designed in its workshops, Montblanc has created a timepiece of historic value bearing the name of the inventor of the chronograph. In 1821, Nicolas Rieussec created a watch with rotating disks that "marked" time with a drop of ink contained in a fixed hand. This made it possible for the first time to measure the exact time taken by each horse in a horse race. The invention was so ingenious that it gave the chronograph its name: "chronos" meaning "time" and "graphein" meaning "to write".

In designing the new Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronograph, Montblanc drew inspiration from the rotating dial technique developed by Rieussec and integrated it into an original work of art in the chronographic watchmaking tradition, featuring a double barrel for a 72-hour power reserve. The sapphire crystal caseback reveals every detail of the artistically decorated Montblanc caliber chronograph movement.

The Montblanc caliber is a self-winding chronograph movement with a classic column wheel and virtually wear-free vertical clutch. As a result, the chronograph function can remain in constant action. Another striking detail: the chronograph is triggered by a pusher at 8 o'clock. An extremely rare, easy-to-use configuration that gives the watch a unique appearance. The first press triggers the seconds disc, the second stops the measurement of time, visible on the seconds disc and the 30-minute counter. A third press resets both discs to zero, enabling a new measurement.
