This watch is powered by the Omega Manufacture Calibre 980, a self-winding mechanical movement with alarm function. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. Particularly innovative for its time, this caliber is the first to offer a mechanical alarm that can be set to the exact minute, unlike conventional systems with more limited precision.
The stainless steel case has a diameter of 40 mm Its tonneau-style case middle, typical of the 1970s, houses a winding crown and an additional crown for setting the alarm. It is protected by mineral glass and is water-resistant to 30 meters. This timepiece is mounted on a matching Omega steel bracelet.
The matte gray dial is enhanced by a central disc indicating the alarm setting, surrounded by applied indexes and straight hands. The date is visible at 3 o'clock, while orange-colored keys provide enhanced legibility for the alarm functions.
This watch, produced during the 1970s, is offered in very good working condition, after a complete overhaul carried out in September 2024.
