Panerai OP VIII caliber self-winding mechanical watch, based on ETA 7750 with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour, 21 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve. Steel case, 45 mm in diameter. Black leather strap and Panerai steel double-fold folding clasp. Sapphire crystal, water-resistant to 100 meters. Screw-down caseback adorned with the Ferrari prancing horse and limited edition number.

Black dial with Arabic numeral markers, the Ferrari logo replacing the 12 o'clock marker. Small seconds counter at 9 o'clock and date window at 3 o'clock. Central hand with red arrow indicating the second time zone. Luminescent hour, minute and GMT hands.

In 2005, Ferrari signed a new agreement with Panerai to create a range of high-end watches. The "Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai" models were all produced in limited editions. Although created and sold by Panerai, the Ferrari models did not bear the brand's emblematic name on the dial. Instead, the Ferrari brand name was used. In all, Panerai created 20 "FER" references, numbered from FER00001 to FER00020. Notable references include the Granturismo Rattrapante Ref. FER00005, the Granturismo Chronographe à deux registres Ref. FER00011 and the Granturismo GMT 8 Days Ref. FER00012. Most used a bezel-less Luminor-style case. The partnership with Panerai ended in 2010. The Granturismo models feature a classic racing style, with smaller numerals and a checkerboard pattern on the inner dial.
